Half-Life
Developer: Valve Software
Released: Sierra Entertainment 1998
Source port used: Steam version (NOT Half-Life Source)

** Plot
A mysterious alien artifact has been recovered and brought to a top-secret research facility in the Black Mesa. When newcomer Dr. Gordon Freeman is assigned to physically test the artifact, things go very wrong when the artifact opens a destructive and unstable portal to Xen, a planet in a different dimension. Gordon blacks out, and awakes in a now crippled and ruined research facility. When Freeman and the survivors of this ordeal discover the portal has allowed its inhabitants -deadly alien creatures- to enter the facility, they realize that they must call the government for help. The government, however, already has plans to contain this incident by silencing the witnesses.

** Notes
The Steam version is the closest to the original that I could find.
- The initial menu looks more like the one in Half-Life 2. I don't think the background picture is the same either.
- This version uses True color, whereas the original did not. You barely notice it.
- The Hazard Course tutorial is missing.

In the Bonus video file, you will find the following:
- The alternate ending. At the end of the game, you are given a choice. This is what happens if you refuse the offer.
- The Hazard Course. This tutorial was part of the original game.
- The official Uplink Demo. This standalone demo features a small side quest that is not part of the main game.

 Re: Half-Life
Hi.

Thanks for the play!

Appreciate posting classic game in high quality.
But why 60fps? Doesn't it doubles file size without giving too much difference in quality?
