PC vesion played wth a few mods.
- New cloud model in battle
- Higher resolution for 3d models/objects
- NPC model patch where the majority of the characters models are improved
- Improved models for aerith's and cloud's weapons.

Some problems..
-My game had a few audio problems where the sound would just cut out. I've had to add the audio myself to any major cutscenes that really needed it though. I thought it was due to the audio mod i had so just left the original midi music there but realised the problem still happened. It seems to happen more often later on where some sounds are just missing but nothing too major.

-Due to how i recorded it the menu, battle swirld and battle mini games run half the speed.
-The game runs with a black bar on the bottom for most scenes so i cropped it out. Though this also means the bottom of the menus are cut but everything else remains so no big deal.
- Controller was very sensitive so speed square and snowboarding just wasn't nice.

I tried to improve from the ps1 longplay by improving quality and just keeping the sound in sync. Ruby and Emerald battles will be added at the end. Also i tried for the most part to keep the text on screen longer so you can actually read it easier but some scenes i've noticed i've done it at times i had to replay parts due to the game crashing on me.

I raised a gold chocobo when controlling Tifa but cut the raising of it out because i had to reset so many times i got bored.

Without doing too much research i tried to get the yuffie date but failed. I thought being a bitch to Aerith and doing the Yuffie scene 4 times would be enough but Tifa got in there.

Download splitted in 4 parts.

This custom driver for the game lets you slowdown the mini games and increase resolution

Thank you Ricky,

Theres some great links, but I can't find my original discs for the NPC pack, it doesnt seem to like the LGP that came with the fan-released 'Ultima edition.' I'm guessing other patches might not be either.

Need to keep searching for my discs so I can get the char.lgp :)

 Re: Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VII, it's nigh impossible for the average gamer to not have heard of this ground-breaking title.

Square had been the masters of pixelated worlds in the era of Nintendo and Super Nintendo, but with the dawning of the Playstation they took their art to a new medium and a very exciting place.

The story centers around a group of freedom fighters known as AVALANCHE. They're against the ShinRa Electric Company's use of Mako Reactors to drain the Lifestream of the Planet. Joined by Cloud, whom once served under the ShinRa mantle, the group quickly find themselves in the middle of a conflict that has been silent for centuries, only now to be awoken.

Providing players with the turn-based/Active-Time battles they'd come to enjoy since Final Fantasy IV, the game also utilised the classic new iteration of how abilities are used and obtained.

This came about with the use of Materia, which had the ability to affect a character's base stats in return for providing a skill. This could be a magical spell, a summon... a different type of attack etc.

Equipping Materia in well thought out ways could give the player many advantages in battles which added a nice layer of technicality to the mix whilst the classic gaining of experience by killing enemies defined a characters rate of level growth.

It was this combination of features that somehow took the world by storm. Final Fantasy VII was an adventure, there was no doubt about it. You were IN this world and ultimately, you didn't want to leave.

We look back today and laugh at how hooked we became to these character models which were very blocky and easily surpassed in future Final Fantasy installments. But it was all part of the aura Final Fantasy VII brought with it.

FFVII was set in a futuristic world where technology and magic co-existed, with the spiritual and the sadistic.

Of course, there are many people that debate Final Fantasy VII's adoration. Claiming the game itself is nothing spectacularly new.

But these are all opinions that people are free to have.

No one really knows WHY Final Fantasy VII became a gaming icon, different aspects appealed to different gamers. It had something for (almost, it seems) everyone.

Say what you will about the sequels and off-shoots, but it is certain the gaming scene would be very different had Final Fantasy VII not been created.
