I have two different systems, one for my Animation and one for gaming.

Animation/Video Editing station: HP xw 9400 2xOpteron 2435 CPUs (12core@2.8ghz),HP Liquidcooling, 16gb ECC DDR2, 2xQuadro fx 5600sli(3gb vram), Blackmagic Intensity Pro pcie, 2xHP 160gb 15.k rpm SAS drives in Raid-0 for boot, 2xhatachi 2tb 5400rpm sata for storage, 1,500watt psu

Gaming system: Gigabyte 333mobo, Phenom IIx6 1100t@4.2ghz, Blackwater liquid cooling system, 16gb DDR3 1600, 2xEVGA GTX 560 ti 2gb(4gb vram), Soundblaster x-fi Titanium HD, Gigabyte I-ram w/4x1gb DDR400, 3xWD Velociraptor 300gb 10Krpm sata in Raid 0 as boot, 2x2tb Sata as storage, 1050watt psu

Sons rig: Xfx Nforce 780i mobo, Core2Duo OC'd to 3.8ghz, 8gb OCZ sli DDR2 800, 2xXFX HD 4890's in Crossfire, Ageia PhysX Processing Unit, Razer Barracuda sound card, 2xWD Velociraptor 160gb 10kRpm in Raid-0

I also have 3 more hp xw9400s, less powerful though used as a rendering farm. 2xOpty 2222(4core@3.0ghz), 8gb ram ecc ddr2, 1xQuadro fx 4600 each with a G-sync card connecting them, in 4u Rack mounted cases.
2xIBM eServer um... servers, dual Xeon setups.

I have some great programs for Video editing, File conversion, and Animation from my Freshi Films teaching gig.
I would love to hear peoples opinions on what Capture devices to use.
I keep hearing the HD-PVR is popular in this crew. I like the company Blackwater, but have only tried internal cards from them.
